and MC, K'naan- The Dusty Foot Philosopher. The film follows K'naan on
his first trip back to Africa to film his first music video Soobax, since
he escaped the war in Somalia in 1991. While filming the video the crew
meet local activist Salim Mohammed. Salim takes them to Kibera (the largest

the past ten years. The film is a result of a mentoring project started
in 2004 on Pine Ridge Reservation called Maza Tiopa (Iron Door). The goal
